Known as the “Queen of Creole Cuisine,” Leah Chase is a Chef, Author, Activist, Television Personality, and Advocate for African American Art and Creole Cuisine. She is the Executive Chef at her family's restaurant Dooky Chase. At Dooky Chase she's fed the likes of Barak Obama, Quincy Jones, Jesse Jackson, Duke Ellington, Thurgood Marshall, James Baldwin, Ray Charles, & George W. Bush. Mrs. Chase has received honorary degrees from Tulane University, Dillard University, Loyola University of New Orleans and Johnson & Wales University.
